How do I know what size my child needs?
Always measure in inches, according to the measurement guide above. Then refer to the size guide on the product page for the garment you require. Note that all garments have different size guides.
How long do I need to allow for delivery?
Although we aim to ship your order within 1-3 business days of it being placed, please allow up to 14 days for delivery.
During the busy summer holiday period, this time can increase considerably. To avoid the rush, make use of our yearly early bird offer (if available), which is made available through each school, usually around May or June.
Actual delivery time can vary depending on your location, however all orders are shipped by 3T's Couriers, and should generally reach you within 1 to 5 days once shipped.

Delivery costs are currently set to a flat rate of £3.95 per order.
How can our school become affiliated with School Threads?
We welcome affiliation with all schools, and our Free to School service can benefit both schools and parents alike.

Are your garments ethically produced?
Ethical garment production is important to us. We only source our blank garments from UK wholesalers who can assure us that the following points are monitored closely through appropriate certification:
Employment conditions for workers involved with the production of our goods.
Health & Safety standards.
Wages and working hours, including adherence to young person’s working regulations. Human Rights.
Disciplinary and employment records.
Sewing and fabric quality standards.
Safety requirements, especially with regard to babywear garments.
Manufacturing requirements including CMT procedures
How should I wash my items?
Always refer to the care instructions printed on the label inside your garment.
Ensure you sort your garments into like for like colours and fabrics for washing.
Be careful not to overload your washing machine.
Turn garments inside out prior to machine washing.
Always wash dark colours separately.
For whites we recommend the use of wash care products that are specifically formulated for whites. This ensures your whites stay white.
The use of fabric softener is not recommended as it is known to break down fibres in clothing.
Stain removers containing optical brightening agents or bleach are not recommended for use on colours or darks.
Fasten buttons and zips to reduce the risk of damage.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If your garment has been decorated with a printed vinyl logo, do not tumble dry and iron on the inside only.
Can I have Free to School delivery?
Not all schools have opted into the Free To School delivery option. To check if your school accepts orders for collection, check our Free To School page.
If eligible, during checkout please select the Free To School shipping option.
During checkout, you will also see a link to Add a Note, click this link and let us know your childs name and class, so we can ensure the parcel is clearly labelled for collection. We will also add your own name and order number to the label.
Your completed order may not show the correct school address, but don't worry, the shipping cost will have been removed from the order total and we will send your parcel to the appropriate school according to the uniform you have ordered. You will then receive an email notification when your order is ready to collect from the school.
IMPORTANT Changes to the Free to School Delivery policy, as of 26/09/19
The Free to School delivery option is changing to ensure we can provide all customers & schools with the best possible service. From the 1st of October 2019, orders placed before the 14th of the month, will be delivered to the school by the 14th of the following month.
If you require your order urgently, please select the courier delivery option. We will continue to aim to ship these orders within 14 days of your order being placed.
For BOTH options, you will continue to receive an email notification to say your order has either been shipped (3T's Couriers) or has been delivered to the school (Free to School).
How do I add a note to my order?
When you arrive at the "Your Cart" page, you will find a link on the lower left hand side labelled "Add a note to your order." Click on this, and enter your note into the text box. Then either click "Update Cart" if you are not processing your order immediately, or click on "Check Out" to continue.
